The Cancer Genome Clinic of the University of Tsukuba Hospital's Comprehensive Cancer Center runs comprehensive gene-panel tests that analyze many cancer genes at once to guide drug selection. Insurance covers testing only for patients in good general condition (PS 0–1) with solid tumors that lack standard treatment or have completed it, or cancer of unknown primary; other cases, including second-opinion discussions, are self-pay.
International patients case by case. Insurance criteria apply to insured residents; overseas patients would be self-pay — confirm availability.
Send us your diagnosis and treatment history. A case coordinator will check whether this clinic fits your case, request a medical review, and explain costs and next steps before you travel.
