About the clinic

Shizuoka Cancer Center, between Tokyo and Nagoya near Mount Fuji, was designated a core hospital for cancer genomic medicine in 2020 and coordinates gene-panel testing with partner hospitals in the prefecture. Its Disease Management Center ('Yorozu' consultation) employs full-time social workers who help with treatment decisions, side effects and finances. Non-Japanese speakers must bring their own interpreter.
