Takanohara Central Hospital, on the Nara–Kyoto border, began offering the autologous cancer vaccine after ethics committee approval in April 2025. The vaccine is made in about a week from the patient's current or archived surgical tumor tissue and injected into the upper arm every two weeks as an outpatient. Patients with autoimmune disease are not eligible; inquiries are by email.
