Adipose-derived stem cell (ASC) joint injection
Stem cells cultured from the patient's fat over about eight weeks are injected into the affected joint to reduce inflammation and support repair; banking plans freeze a second dose for use after six months.
Many treatments listed here are self-pay (not covered by Japanese public insurance) and some are not approved as standard treatment in Japan. Regenerative and cell therapies are provided under registered plans based on the Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine.
Costs depend on your case and differ for international patients. Your coordinator explains the clinic's fees, interpreter and coordination costs before you decide.
